Stayed for one night in the superior king room and loved the spacious layout and comfy soaking tub. It's just a stone's throw from the lace market and the contemporary art museum. The staff were amazing, especially with their recommendations.

nice stay but some areas need improvement
The room was impressively clean. The bed provided a restful night's sleep, which I greatly appreciated.
The day staff could be more engaging.

The location is good
It was a very disappointing hotel and needs an injection of cash to give it a makeover. It may have been good in its day but even the staff seem jaded and tired. Next time I will try Harts.

Nothing apart from the location. Everything else was very poor from the welcome, the room size, the cleanliness of the room (E.G. the bathrobes had not been washed), no newspaper available while having breakfast, valet parking service very poor and no valet service at all past 10pm at night, poor breakfast (toast cold, bacon undercooked, eggs overcooked, old croissants), no food available after 10pm, very badly trained reception staff who when asked about the choice of DVDs available roughly pulled open a cupboard, pointed and walked off. Overall a very poor experience and a hotel we will not be returning to.

Excellent central location. Very comfortable beds, and unusually well-equipped room. I got a free upgrade from the bargain-priced single room ordered, so the value for money was excellent.
Poor handling of problems with Wi-Fi.

the room was spotless with good facilities. excellent breakfast, and staff very good, nothing too much trouble.
The heat in the rooms could be reduced by a few degrees. Seemed strange using A/C in December, but not really a complaint

Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Breakfast was very well organised, food excellent. Despite a reported problem with the kitchen, breakfast was delivered quickly.

The staff were excellent, I cannot find fault with anyone, the front desk staff especially were welcoming and helpful as they took considerable time to help me with directions as I was arriving into Nottingham on an uncertain schedule and the following morning gave me directions to where I could locate a specific item of shopping. They were in a word outstanding. Breakfast was delicious.
My only concern was the shower, which didn't maintain a consistent temperature lurching from hot to cold then back again. That minor technological wobble alone marred an otherwise faultless performance on all fronts.
